On August 12, 1997, Somethin’ for the People released “My Love Is The Shhh”under the record label Warner’s Bros. It was co-written, produced, and performed by Somethin’ for the People. 

It features the group members Curtis “Sauce” Wilson, Roshad Holiday, and Jeff “Fuzzy” Young and was the lead single for their album This Time It’s Personal.

• Somethin’ for the People got together in 1990 in Oakland, California. 
• The band consisted of Curtis “Sauce” Wilson, Rochad “Cat Daddy” Holiday, and Jeff “Fuzzy” Young. 
• This song was the group’s most successful hit. 
• In 1997, “My Love Is The Shhh” was awarded platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
• The song is vocalized by Trina and Tamara, the contemporary R&B group. Interestingly enough, they were sisters.
• The song was the group’s only hit on the Billboard Hot 100, where it reached the #4 position. 
• It ranked first in the Billboard Rhythmic Top 40.
• The official music video was produced by Rashidi Natara Harper; it is a phone call to a supposed lover declaring their love.
• Young died in 2011 while he was sleeping from a heart attack.
