“It’s Raining Men” was declined by several musicians who were prominent at the time, including Diana Rose and Cher. Even the weather Girls had misgivings about the song, thinking it would not appeal to the market. However, The Weather Girls, formally known as the Two Tons O’ Fun, recorded the song and released it in 1982, and it became a success.
