Today’s song of the day is an American hard rock song, “Rock And Roll All Nite,” by Kiss.

Fun Facts:

The song was initially released on Kiss’s third studio album Dressed to Kill in 1975.
It was later released as a single, which propelled the song to the 69th spot on Billboard’s singles chart. The single’s B-track was “Getaway,” another song from their Dressed to Kill album.
Towards the end of 1975, a live version of the hit was released as a single to even greater success, peaking at number 12 on Billboard.
The popularity of “Rock And Roll All Nite” began a period of notable success in Kiss’s career. The hit was the first of theirs to break the Billboard Top 20, after which the band would go on to have another five Top 20 songs in the 1970s: “Beth” (1976), “Hard Luck Woman” (1976), “Calling Dr. Love” (1976), “ACE: New York Groove” (1978), and “I Was Made For Lovin’ You” (1979).
“Rock And Roll All Nite” quickly became the band’s signature song and has been their closing number for nearly every live performance since 1976.
In 2008, VH1 listed the song as the 16th greatest hard rock song of all time. (For those curious, the number one song was “Welcome To The Jungle” by Guns N’ Roses!)
