The song’s opening guitar riff is considered by many in the music industry to be one of the greatest hooks in the history of rock.
“(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” was initially released as a single and later included in the band’s American release of their studio album Out of Our Heads.
The song was extremely successful and provided The Rolling Stones with their first hit to reach number one in the U.S. and U.K. simultaneously.
At the time of its release, there was some pushback by people who thought the lyrics were overtly sexual and distasteful. This pushback, however, was short-lived.
Rolling Stone Magazine listed the song at number 31 on their official list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
Even today, many decades after its release, it is still considered to be one of the most popular songs in the world.
