• Some fans argue that the song’s rise to the top of the charts was significantly influenced by Journey’s hit titled Faithfully, a huge hit. This argument is based on the fact that Adams was the opening act for the band. All his opening acts were assisted by the band’s drummer Steve Smith, one of the most talented artists of his time.
• The song Heaven first appeared in public as a soundtrack to a film titled A Night in Heaven.
• At the time, the single was not released officially as a single. At this point, Adams was convinced that the hit single would not be an eligible entry in his upcoming album Reckless. He thought that the song was a bit too light for the album, a misgiving seconded by his producer Jimmy Lovine.
• Adams decided to add the song to the album at the last possible moment, a move we are sure he has not regretted.
• The single went on to win a few awards, including the Procan Award in 1984.
